The new website will allow for all our members to easily add content reflecting their efforts in sustainability – a need that has been increasing for the last few years as Sustainable Sweden hosts a growing number of members. Choosing Joomla – an open-source platform for building this website was a natural choice for us – as we find much common ground between the Open-Source– and the Sustainability-Community.
In return we've been able to implement some of the latest web-technologies, making this website more accessible and user-friendly. For instance we do support RSS-syndication which enables you to bookmark this website and automatically receive any update directly in your browser or RSS-reader. If you prefer you can also choose to sign-up for our mailing list – then the news will be sent to your mailbox.

For the future we also plan to use this platform for building an international web community. We think this will be a great way for keeping contact with former (and future) Tour-, conference- and workshop- participants. We see a possibility of sharing ideas, news, and let everyone get inspired by each other. But for making these plans come true we will need your participation.

As of today you can choose either to subscribe to the newsletter or become a registered user of Sustainablesweden.org. As a registered-user you receive not only the newsletter but also enables you to share your content with us; by submitting interesting news, articles, pictures etc, to us. For legal reasons this content will not be published until revised by an editor.

We would also love to have your feedback on the website, and it's future development. What kind of features would you like to see in this web community? A discussion board? A shared directory for upcoming events and pictures?
