This is the title of Torbjörn Lahti's new book, result of 30 years of experience and thinking about the change process towards sustainability, which is to be published in a few weeks and will be also translated into English and Spanish.
Important to notice is the plural used for “worlds”. Indeed the book is meant to be a journey both in time and in space, describing the author's work with sustainability and the change process history along the years, from the very individual level to the global sphere. It goes through the description of the first Swedish Eco-municipality Övertorneå, to the work that has been down at the local level in the whole Sweden, and beyond, to the current blooming of international networks regarding sustainable experiences. Through this journey the book will eventually reach the “Eco-municipality 5.0” concept, which is very much about understanding what sustainable development really is, as the essential preliminary for local actions. 20 years after Rio's conference, the tools to really implement the Agenda 21 rely indeed in this new paradigm, through which it is actually possible to change the world.
