    Sustainable Sweden Tour

    We are proud to announce the next Sustainable Sweden Tour in 2009. Starting in Stockholm we will travel to Jarna, in Sodertalje outside Stockholm and to Hallefors.  We will meet, learn, explore and contribute to some of the pioneers of local sustainable development in Sweden. You will get a unique chance to learn from the very best “firesouls” in the world - how did and are they making a sustainable society possible?

    Tour topics

    Focus on this Tour will be on how eco–municipalities and sustainable communities are working with sustainable development regarding social and economic perspectives. We will learn about e.g. :

    • The Natural Step (TNS) concept for strategical planning for sustainable development, especially the four system conditions.
    • Deeper insight in social and economic perspectives of sustainable development.
    • Fundamental human needs.
    • Dematerializing of the society.
    • Culture and local food as important tools in sustainable community work.

     

    Highlights

    Tour Highlight 

    The Anthrophosophical center in Järna outside Stockholm. The Eco-municipality of Hällefors with their focus on energy efficience, culture and local food production. The international Seminar in Hällefors "The sustainable community – rich and dematerialized.
